First (district) round judging of the 39 entries for the 2019 CPRE Wiltshire and The Hills Group Best Kept Village Competition has now been completed.  The results are published below (Read more).  The BKVC judges for the second (county) round will be visiting villages during July.  They will not warn villages of the precise date of their inspection but they will identify themselves if asked. 

The county winners for the previous two years are ineligible for the main competition but three are competing for the Laurence Kitching Award, which is sponsored by Princeton Homes.  They will be also be judged during July.

Judging is now complete in the first (district) round of the 2019 CPRE Wiltshire and The Hills Group Best Kept Village Competition.  39 villages entered the main competition.  Judging took place on various days slected by the judges during the period 13th May to 9th June inclusive.  The results have been sent to the entry secretary for each village and they have been published in a separate article on this website.

The Presentation Day for this year's Best Kept Village Competition took place on Sunday 23rd September.  Presentations were made at All Cannings, Hullavington, Biddestone and Charlton.


The competition is run annually and yet again is proudly sponsored by The Hills Group.
