Entry invitations and guidelines for the 2017 Wiltshire Best Kept Village Competition have now been sent to all villages in Wiltshire. The guidelines incorporate many of the valuable proposals made by Wiltshire Council, BKVC judges and past participating villages over the years. The county winners for the previous two years are ineligible for the main competition but have now been invited to compete for the Laurence Kitching Award, which is sponsored by Princeton Homes. The closing date for entries to the main competition is Tuesday 18th April and for the Laurence Kitching Award is Wednesday 31st May.
Judging for the second (County) round of this year's Competition was completed in July and the four main winners received their awards on the Presentation Day on Sunday 25th September. The Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mrs Sarah Troughton, once again led the presentation team. The standard was, as ever, very high.
