Wiltshire Best Kept Village Competition 2017

Wiltshire Best Kept Village Standard Wiltshire Best Kept Village Standard

First (district) round judging of the 39 entries for the 2017 CPRE Wiltshire and The Hills Group Best Kept Village Competition has just been completed.  The results are published below (Read more).  The BKVC judges for the second (county) round will be visiting villages during July.  They will not warn villages of the precise date of their inspection but they will identify themselves if asked. Vouchers for free Warrior compost (see the "Read more" article) were sent in May to the first 30 villages that entered.

The county winners for the previous two years are ineligible for the main competition but have been invited to compete for the Laurence Kitching Award, which is sponsored by Princeton Homes.  Four of the eligible six villages have entered and they will be judged during July.
