Best Kept Village Presentations

Throughout October and November, members of CPRE Wiltshire have been visiting winning villages in this year’s Best Kept Village Competition to present them with their certificates.

These presentations are usually made just before parish council meetings.

The photograph above shows Mary Gillmore, Chair of CPRE Kennet Group, presenting the Merit Award certificate to the Chair of All Cannings Parish Council, Amy Gray.  As winners of the Merit Award, All Cannings had entered the BKVC this year and for every one of the past five years. They had attained the best overall result across all those years against all other qualifying villages.  This award is not available to any other winners in the current year’s BKVC, nor to the Merit Award winners in the past two years.  It therefore recognises consistent high performance.
