Kate Fielden

CPRE Wiltshire deeply regrets to announce the death of Dr Kate Fielden, one of our most active members and trustees.

On 21st July, Dr Katherine Jane Fielden BA, DPhil, unexpectedly passed away at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford at the age of 79 years.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and many colleagues.

Kate worked tirelessly for CPRE Wiltshire, not just in the Kennet Group for on all major branch issues.  She was also a leading light in the Stonehenge Alliance, campaigning against the current plan for the tunnel to be built under the monument and through the World Heritage Site.
