The 5 Year Housing Land Supply is an issue which has increasingly concerned CPRE.  This requirement has caused serious problems for communities with Neighbourhood Plans, others who have already over-provided the required housing number and those with town or village boundaries constantly being probed by developers.

They push arguments for developments based on the wording in the National Planning Policy Framework at 74, 75 and 14 a,b,c,d.  The new assessment provided by Wiltshire Council , which can be read here, is useful as it gives a stronger basis on which to refuse unwanted and unplanned for applications.  CPRE have been lobbying our local MPs to address the Housing Minister on this.   Changed wording in the NPPF is what is required.
