Bad news for Stonehenge

The Transport Secretary has given the go-ahead for a twin-bore 3km tunnel and some 2km of massive approach cuttings to be gouged through the unique landscape of the Stonehenge World Heritage Site.

This decision comes despite the proposal being quashed in the High Court last year.  The Stonehenge Alliance are considering whether to mount a challenge to the latest decision.
