Wiltshire Best Kept Villages of 2026
Best Kept Village 2026!
We are thrilled to announce this years Wiltshire Best Kept Village Competition 2026 will be run on behalf of CPRE Wiltshire by Danny Austin.
This year the Competition is being jointly sponsored by Wiltshire Council and their primary grounds maintenance contractor, idverde.
The Best Newcomer Award is being sponsored by Renelec, which provides specialised services to the construction industry and is based in Devizes.
| Entries to the Competition can be submitted by any villager, although they should inform their parish council that they intend to do so.
In February, invitations to enter will be sent to all parish clerks in Wiltshire and in Swindon Borough. Entries must be received by CPRE Wiltshire by 19 April 2026. There are three categories: Large villages (population 1001 to 3500), Medium villages (population 300 to 1000) and Small villages (population below 300). Entering is simple: there is a form to be completed and this should be accompanied by a map and a short report. Further details can be downloaded from the CPRE Wiltshire website.
